VILLAGE PRESERVATION FOUNDATION ELECTS NEW PRESIDENT
Attorney William Mattar to Lead Williamsville Association
Buffalo, New York (February 8, 2010) – The Village Preservation Foundation of Williamsville has elected William Mattar as the organization’s 2010 President.

Founded in 1999, the mission of the Village Preservation Foundation is to sponsor and promote public events; to preserve and restore historical structures; and to protect and beautify the public areas, including streets and parks, in the Williamsville community.
The Village Preservation Foundation is most noted for its main annual event, the Taste of Williamsville. This weekday festivity showcases community restaurants with an event that is rich in history, culture, music and great foods. The Foundation is also responsible for purchasing the flower arrangements along Main Street in the warm-weather months.
Also elected to office for 2010 were Ted Young, Treasurer, from Ed Young’s True Value Hardware and Trey Measer, Secretary, from the Bee Group Newspapers. The Foundation’s Board of Directors include: Janet Lester, Edward Maricki, Ronald Daniels and Al Yates. Mr. Yates has accepted the position of Chairman for the 2010 Taste of Williamsville event scheduled to take place during the first week of August at Island Park in the village of Williamsville.
